SHOW US THY GLORY O LORD! This cry was birthed in the heart of Moses many years ago when he had a ‘face to face’ meeting with the Lord. Exodus 33:18 “And he said, I beseech you (I cry out to you with everything that is in me) Show me your Glory”. God answered his cry and revealed His glory to him. In Exodus 34:6 we read, “And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, the Lord, The Lord God, Merciful and Gracious, Longsuffering, and Abundant in Goodness and Truth.” In other words our God gave to Moses the highest revelation of Himself that was given to anyone under the Old covenant. This is what our God is like – He is merciful – He is gracious – He is longsuffering and He is abundant in goodness and truth. I personally believe that the reason why He gave to Moses that revelation of Himself is not only so that Moses would come to know what God is like, but also that Moses would become like God, and be merciful, gracious, longsuffering and abundant in goodness and truth. After 40 days and 40 nights in the literal presence of God he comes down off the mountain with even the skin of his face shining. In 2 Corinthians 3 the apostle Paul states very clearly that this glory upon the face of Moses was a fading glory – a temporal glory, and he goes on in this chapter in Corinthians 3:18 to reveal that there would come forth a people in the last days on earth, whowould enter into a much greater realm of glory, and that the glory seen upon their faces, would be an ever increasing glory which is an eternal glory. Isaiah further reveals in Isaiah 40:5 that there is a day coming when – “The Glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.” Isaiah states also that in a time of great darkness over the earth, the Lord will arise upon His people, and the Glory of the Lord will be seen upon them. Right now many of God’s people are being changed from one realm of glory to another realm of glory by the Spirit of the Lord. This time has now come when the Word of the Lord through Isaiah will come to pass. The Glory of the Lord is about to be revealed in such a way in His people that they will arise and literally shine in the midst of a world filled with great darkness. On top of this we will see that all flesh will see it together. Hallelujah. Jesus Himself stated that the righteous will shine. For this to come to pass the people of God must cry out to God as Moses did – ‘Show us your Glory Oh God.’ My prayer is that this cry will be birthed in your hearts today. I am sure that as it was with Moses of old, the Lord will move quickly to answer this cry which is born of His Spirit, so that His eternal purpose will be fulfilled in the earth. What a thrill it is today to see many of the Lord’s people in the Body of Christ learning how to live and how to become wise. The scripture states clearly in Daniel 12:3 “ And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness shall shine as stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:10 goes on to say – “Many shall be purified and made white, and tried, but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” I feel also that the hand of the Lord is on this nation – the uttermost part of the earth for a particular purpose in these last days. The Father is truly giving to the Son, the uttermost part of the earth for His possession and many people are finding that He is moving in a fresh way to possess their lives, so my heart thrills with His word in Psalm 65:8 (Living Bible) “In the farthest corners of the earth the glorious acts of God shall startle everyone.” God is willing, God is ready, and He desires that the blessing of the power of His Spirit be poured out. He has decreed that in the fullness of time the vessels will be ready! On the day of Pentecost the vessels were cleansed, made ready and fitted, and God poured out His Spirit through those prepared vessels. He wants to do that again, to repeat Himself, but on a much larger scale through His church. At Pentecost the Glory of God was only revealed through a small group of people in one city in the world, but in this day He has purposed to fill the whole earth with the knowledge of His Glory as the waters cover the sea. For this to happen there must be a yielding, a seeking, a longing, a consistency of prayer and supplication. As we ARISE AND SHINE, the multitudes will see the manifest GLORY OF GOD, and bow the knee of their hearts to the Lordship of Jesus Christ “ SHOW US THY GLORY O LORD.”
