Invitation from Des and Carley

Dear Faith family,

What a joy it is for Carley and I to send this greeting to you today, and  to let you know that our beloved College in Welcome Bay, Tauranga, will be holding an awesome time of celebrating our ministry here and overseas for the last 50 years. This will be held on our Faith Bible College campus on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of November 2018. This is a personal invitation to you as a Graduate of the College to join with us and our wonderful team here at Faith on this momentous occasion to celebrate this Jubilee Year together. We do truly long to see you face to face.

Isaiah 60:1,4,5 “Arise shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. V.4 Lift up your eyes round about and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. V.5 Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged, because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto you, and the wealth of the gentiles shall come unto you.”

You are part of a legacy that has, and will continue to impact eternity, as we fulfil the divine mandate that has been given us by our Lord. It has been our commitment to Faith’s mission and God’s direction that has kept us on course and will continue to do so in the future.  The Lord promises us, and also you dear friend, through the words of David the sweet psalmist of Israel saying in Psalm 78:72  “ He will feed you by the integrity of His heart; and He will guide you by the skilfulness of His hands.” He has truly done this for us, and we know that He has done and will continue to do this for you also.

An appreciation of our past is critical for charting a course for the future. Our God truly is the God of good beginnings and He is also the God of good endings. We read in Haggai 2:9  “The Glory of the latter house will be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts: and in this place I will give peace.”  This word peace speaks of  – Wholeness, Completeness,  Oneness and Unity.

Faith Bible College was founded in 1969 on a number of prophetic words spoken over us, and it was birthed out of a move of God that took place in New Zealand in 1967, that was called in those days the Charismatic Outpouring. Then He was truly to us the God of Good beginnings. 50 years have now gone by and we know without a doubt, He truly is the Alpha and the Omega and He wants us all to finish well.

We believe He is moving us all now into a New Season, as He prepares us for The End Time Global Harvest that will be way beyond our wildest dreams. The Holy Spirit is saying to us, get ready for it is coming.  He is moving us all into a place of being a company of mature sons and daughters of God, so we can fully represent our Father in character and likeness and be as the Apostle John says in 1 John 4:17 “Because as He is, so are we in this world.”

We all have a destiny, which is called maturity, and the Lord is calling us now into a higher place with Himself.  This leads us on to say to you all that the  relationships we keep in this season, will determine whether or not we have the internal capacity to carry the move of God in this hour.

Do please come and join us for this time of Celebration and see and hear what the Lord has done in and through the lives of the many Faith Graduates. We are planning an alumni gathering on Friday, 9 November and a celebration service on Saturday 10 November. Details of these events will be posted on our website and facebook page.

With love – Des and Carley Short
