2023 Sabbatical

Public Announcement - 2 August 2022

After much prayer, deliberation, and evaluation the Board of Faith Bible College Aotearoa would like to inform Alumni and friends both here in New Zealand and overseas of the following:

  1. FBC will no longer be holding NZQA accredited courses, nor be a part of this training framework for the future as of December 31st, 2022. This ends 30 years of affiliation with this framework.

  2. FBC will take a ‘Sabbatical’ from January 1st, 2023 for one year. During this time there will be much-needed renovations scheduled to improve facilities for the future. This includes a long overdue overhaul of its sewage/waste services and student and staff accommodation.

  3. A fresh exciting initiative with Mission based training courses will be established as part of the new season that will emerge with a local, national and global focus and as such we are now building a team to do this.

  4. Founding Principal Des Short will remain as Chairman of the Board until he is ready to step aside and then Ps David Dishroon will step into that role. Des will then continue as a Board member Emeritus during his lifetime.

As we embark on preparing for this new era of operations and training, we seek God's wisdom and understanding for each step going forward. Our prayer and desire are that Faith Bible College will become a strategic missional centre that surpasses the previous season.

We also invite you to partner in prayer as we walk this journey and the upgrade of the campus and its ongoing operations and training.

Any correspondence can be directed to: davidd@fbc.ac.nz

Accommodation and event bookings will still be available in 2023. Contact stef@fbc.ac.nz for all enquiries.
